Liana
B. DeLoid, MS, RD, LDN, is a registered and licensed
dietitian.
Liana earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition
from the University of New Hampshire . She completed her
dietetic internship and earned a Master’s degree in
Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons College. Liana
has been a member of the American Dietetic Association for
ten years. Liana is also Servsafe certified.
Liana has 6 years experience counseling clients on diet and
lifestyle change. Liana has worked with children and adults to tailor nutrition counseling based on their specific nutrition goals. Some of these include weight
management, heart disease, high blood pressure, high
cholesterol and diabetes. In 2007, Liana implemented Create
Your Weight community weight loss program with 75%
participation completion.
Liana's private nutrition practice includes weight loss
seminars, seminar development and education, private
consulting for healthcare institutions, seminar development
and presentation, freelance writing, meal planning, cooking
demonstrations and more.
Liana has been featured in and is a contributor to the Boston
Beantown website. She was the lead author for masters thesis
research, which was published in the popular journal,
"Topics in Clinical Nutrition." She has also written
articles on healthy eating for the Jimmy Fund Clinic's
Brainwaves newsletter. Liana also been a guest lecturer at
multiple conferences.
Liana is active in her community. She led the GI/Nutrition
team in 2010 to reach their financial goal to sponsor the
Walk For Hunger. She has participated in the Walk for Hunger for 3 years.
